Section three: hazards identification

Skin: Prolonged or repeated skin contact can cause slight irritation.
Eye contact: Direct contact can cause slight irritation. Prolonged contact or repeat contact may cause sensitizing effect on eye irritation. Vapors may be slightly irritating to eyes.
Inhalation: Inhalation of vapor or mist can cause irritation of nose, throat and lungs, headache, nausea.

Section four: instructions

Instructions: If irritation to eyes, lungs, or respiratory system occur due to vapor or mist remove to fresh air.
Eye contact: Flush eyes with large amounts of running water for at least 15 min. holding lids apart to ensure rinsing of entire area of eye.
Skin contact: wash with soap and water.
If ingested drink lots of water.

Section five: fire

Fire, Flammability Decomposition: This product is water dilutable and is made with water as one of the components. It is not flammable.
Dry acrylic paint films are burnable. Thermal decomposition of acrylic paint may yield acrylic monomers. This is hazardous to health. Do not intentionally burn acrylic paint without proper ventilation and protective equipment.
Not flammable in liquid form.

Section seven: handling

Handling: Keep material from freezing. Avoid heating material excessively during use. High temperatures will decompose product and release harmful vapor and gas. If burning or high heat is unavoidable use in well ventilated area and wear suitable respirator.
Product decomposed above 177 c. thermal decomposition is dependent on time and temperature. Sanding dry paint films can create considerable heat.
This product is a paint product. As with all paint products, “spraying” by using air or airless equipment increases the hazards mentioned above. The reason for this is because spraying vaporizes the liquid thereby increasing the percentage of material in the air by many times the amount that would be present under other typical application techniques. If spraying the paint is required proper (extra) ventilation, a full or half mask respirator, eye protection and skin protection are strongly recommended.
Dust created by sanding dry paint film should not be inhaled or ingested. Sanding with power sanders can create excessive heat which can be hazardous.
